Chimera is a public desert course with generous, forgiving fairways framed by desert terrain. The 6,906-yard par-72 layout (72.8 rating / 135 slope) features 68 white-sand bunkers and water hazards on the 9th and 18th, and it was the first course in the Las Vegas and Henderson area to add a TrackMan-powered driving range.
History
Course history
Chimera Golf Club opened in 2003 as Tuscany Golf Club, designed by Ted Robinson, and serves the Tuscany Village community in Henderson. It was later rebranded as Chimera Golf Club.
Design
Design philosophy
Ted Robinson designed Chimera for playability — wide fairways and a fair desert landscape that rewards golfers from every tee — with his trademark water features as the dramatic accents.
