The Region
Pahrump golf courses, end to end.
Pahrump is sixty miles west of the Strip — the drive crosses the Spring Mountains via Highway 160 and drops into a wide desert valley along the California border. It's a different climate (cooler in summer, occasional winter frost) and a different pace. Mountain Falls Golf Club is the headline: a Jack Nicklaus and Cal Olson design that opened in 2002 at the foot of Mount Charleston, the kind of desert-meadow layout where every tee shot frames a different stretch of the Spring Mountains. Lake View Executive Golf Course is the daily-fee par-3 alternative — eighteen holes, walkable, the round you slot in when the championship course is booked. Pahrump is the destination round for golfers staying off-Strip in the Mountain's Edge / Southwest valley corridor, or for any visitor looking for a quieter day than Summerlin's tee sheets allow.
