About Las Vegas Paiute — Snow Mountain
Snow Mountain (par 72, 7,146 yards, 73.0 rating / 126 slope) is the most approachable of the resort's three Pete Dye courses. It opens up the high-desert landscape with wide corridors, dramatic mountain backdrops, and the bright bunkering and water that mark Dye's resort work.
History
Las Vegas Paiute — Snow Mountain — History
Snow Mountain is the original course at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, opened in 1995 as the first of three Pete Dye designs on the Las Vegas Paiute reservation about 25 miles northwest of the Strip.
Design
Las Vegas Paiute — Snow Mountain — Design
Pete Dye routed Snow Mountain to showcase the open Mojave high desert — generous off the tee, with the challenge concentrated in the bunkering and green complexes.
The Round
Las Vegas Paiute — Snow Mountain — Strategic Layout
Wide landing areas keep Snow Mountain the friendliest of the Paiute three; scoring depends on the approach and the short game around Dye's greens.
