About The Oasis Golf Club — Palmer Course
The Palmer course is Arnold Palmer's Mesquite original, built for his friend Si Redd and opened in 1995. At par 71 and 6,982 yards from the back of five tee sets, it plays through red-rock canyon fairways to contoured greens, and its 73.2 rating against a 141 slope is the sterner number of the two. Golf Digest has rated it among the "Top 10 You Can Play". It is the longer and more decorated half of Mesquite's only 36-hole facility.
History
The Oasis Golf Club — Palmer Course — History
Arnold Palmer designed and built the course for his friend Si Redd, opening in 1995. A second eighteen, the Canyons, followed -- its back nine original Palmer ground, its front nine opening in 2005 -- making The Oasis Mesquite's only 36-hole golf facility.

Palmer routed the course to use Mesquite's elevation rather than fight it, dropping fairways between red-rock canyon walls and defending the hole at the green rather than off the tee.
